Indian breakfasts are a delightful way to start your day, offering a vibrant mix of flavors, spices, and textures. If you're eager to recreate your favorite Indian breakfasts at home, you're in for a treat! Here’s a guide to making some popular Indian breakfast dishes.

Poori Bhaji

Poori is a deep-fried bread that pairs perfectly with spiced potato curry, known as bhaji.

Ingredients: Whole wheat flour, water, salt, potatoes, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, green chilies, and oil for frying.

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water to knead into a smooth dough. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
  • For the bhaji, boil and mash the potatoes. In a pan, heat oil, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter. Add green chilies and turmeric, then add the mashed potatoes. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • Divide the dough into small balls. Roll them out into circles and deep fry in hot oil until puffy and golden.
