3. Aloo Gobi

Aloo Gobi is a simple yet flavorful dish made from potatoes (aloo) and cauliflower (gobi). Follow these steps to make it:

  • Ingredients: Potatoes, cauliflower, onions, tomatoes, ginger, spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric), and fresh cilantro.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they begin to splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until soft.
  • Add ginger and diced tomatoes, cooking until the tomatoes break down.
  • Introduce potato cubes and cauliflower florets, along with spices, cover, and cook until tender.

4. Masoor Dal

Masoor dal, or red lentils, is a wholesome vegetarian dish that is easy to prepare. Here’s how:

  • Ingredients: Red lentils, onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and spices (turmeric, cumin, and garam masala).
  • Rinse the lentils in water and cook them with turmeric until soft.
  • In a separate pan, heat oil and sauté chopped onions until golden.
  • Add garlic and ginger, followed by diced tomatoes and spices. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • Pour the lentils into the mixture, adjust the water for desired consistency, and simmer for a few minutes.

5. Vegetable Biryani

Vegetable Biryani is a fragrant rice dish layered with mixed vegetables and aromatic spices. To create this dish:

  • Ingredients: Basmati rice, mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans), onions, spices (bay leaves, cardamom, cloves), and saffron (optional).
  • Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Parboil the rice and set aside.
  • In a large pot, heat oil, add sliced onions, and sauté until they caramelize.
